Pole to Pole

Documentary gives insight into Polish life

The issue of Eastern European immigrants making their way to Warrington and the surrounding areas in order to look for work and a better life has gained a lot of exposure in recent times.

One Warrington film maker, who has found himself drawn in by the subject, has created a remarkable piece of film in order to tell the story of such a worker.

"Pole to Pole" tells the story of Wojiek Aniola, who became Warrington Borough Transport's first ever Polish bus driver.

Produced by Peter Regan, when he was enrolled on the Art Foundation Diploma Programme at Priestley, the remarkable documentary has received critical acclaim and was shown at the world famous Cannes Film Festival in May 2010.
