It was great to hear this week from Madgey Thompson (pictured) as she started at the University of Oxford.
For Madgey it was a dream come true after two successful years at Priestley College.
“I had thought of Oxbridge as ‘elite’ and Priestley was the first time I had realised it wasn’t out of anyone’s reach,” said Madgey, whose offer is to study French and Arabic.
“Everything I took part in at Priestley boosted my confidence and closed the gap between what I limited myself to and what I could actually achieve.”
We would like to congratulate the entire Class of 2021 and wish you all well as you start on the next stage of your journies in education, apprenticeships and employment.
