WHAT YOU WILL STUDY
Year 1 – Ecology balances and sustainable interaction with human factors, natural physical processes and effects of human activity, research methodology leading to practical activities.
Year 2 – Energy resources, pollution, biological resources, sustainability principles and their applications.
Minimum of two days of practical fieldwork and 12 mandatory lab practicals.
HOW YOU WILL BE ASSESSED
Up to three, three-hour exams, 15% dedicated to practical assessment (to be confirmed).
An EPQ on a topic with an environmental theme.
An environmental degree at one of 63 universities including Manchester, Liverpool, LJMU, Hope, Lancaster, UCLAN and Edge Hill. Also degrees in Geography, Geology, Climatology, other Earth Sciences, as well as Biology, Ecology and even Engineering.
Career paths include the Environmental Agency, land conservation, land management and many others.
