Dream bigger with a Foundation Year
The Foundation Programme will equip you not only with an academic qualification, but also paves the way to study A-Levels or Level 3 courses at Priestley.
By the end of your Foundation Year you will have the confidence, skills and aspiration to go further than you might have ever have dreamed.
Alongside your core Foundation Programme you will also be able to take one or more of the following:
- English / Maths Pre-GCSE If you obtain less than a Grade 3, or you need further support to develop your confidence and skills
- English and / or Maths up to GCSE
- A Specialist Project to help develop your study and research skills, based on a topic of your choice
- Work placement and Work-Related Learning
- GCSE Science (subject to demand)

What you need to study Foundation:
- A range of GCSEs at Grade 3/2 including English and Math
- At least one GCSE at Grade 4 or above
- An average GCSE score of 2 or above
- A keen interest in the subject you are planning to study
