The Challenge Academy Trust (TCAT) is seeking to appoint an Adult Education Manager to lead this important aspect of the College’s provision.
For many years the College has successfully offered adult courses at the Priestley College campus and in the local community. This post is an excellent opportunity for the right person to continue that work and influence, develop and shape the delivery of Adult Education across Warrington, ensuring our offer meets the needs of the local community, the local economy and support the mission and vision of the College.
Priestley College is a founder member of The Challenge Academy Trust (TCAT) and, as such, there is an opportunity for the appointed candidate to develop the role beyond Priestley College and into TCAT, into the 11 Academies in the Trust, and into the wider community of Warrington.
Based at Priestley College, the role will involve course and curriculum planning, quality assurance, report writing and ensuring the programme meets the delivery of funding targets for adult provision.
Responsible to: MIS (Management Information Systems) Manager for day-to-day management and funding returns and Head of Faculty for matters of Quality Assurance and Curriculum
Post Details: Permanent, 20 hours per week for 195 days to include some evenings and non-term time hours (there is some flexibility in the working pattern to suit the requirements of the role)
Start Date: 31st August 2021 or as soon as possible thereafter (subject to successful pre-employment checks including an Enhanced DBS check or a check against the DBS Update Service if registered)
Contractual Terms: NJC Terms and Conditions for Support Staff in Sixth Form Colleges
Salary: Point 8 to 10 on the Support Staff Salary Scale i.e. £20,565 to £22,034 per annum (FTE). Actual pro-rata salary would be £9,549 to £10,231 per annum.
Pension Scheme: Local Government Pension Scheme
