Bernal named in England squad

Priestley footballer Kenny Bernal has been named in the squad for the England U18 Schoolboys match against U18 Australian Schoolboys.

The ESFA international squads are made up of the best players in Schools’ Football in England. They are chosen based upon their talent, following making it through a national nomination process.

Kenny will be presented with his official England shirt, newly-sponsored by Utilita, prior to the fixture.

The team will head to Stafford Town FC’s Evans Park on Saturday 25th January to play the international friendly fixture.

The ESFA are delighted to announce that the full match will be streamed live via the ESFA’s YouTube Channel, ESFA TV – providing a fantastic viewing experience for supporters who are unable to travel, including those back in Australia.

In light of the devastating bush fires in Australia, the English Schools’ FA would like to invite supporters to make a donation to the Australian Red Cross in order to support their efforts in helping those affected by the fires.

Spectators are encouraged to come along to Stafford Town to get a glimpse of the squad before they embark on their SAFIB Centenary Shield fixtures, which begin in March with an away fixture against Northern Ireland.
