LANGUAGE students from Priestley are heading to the Cornerhouse in Manchester tomorrow night to watch a newly-released German film.
The group will be watching ‘Barbara’, which is just out in Britain and Germany.
Directed by Christian Petzold, the film follows the story of an East German doctor, Barbara, who has been stripped of her job in a major Berlin hospital by the state, because she applied for a visa to the West.
She is transferred from Berlin to a small hospital out in the country. The film tells of her experiences there in 1980, about her work and the people she meets.
