Priestley College, a founder member of The Challenge Academy Trust (TCAT), is looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant to provide effective support for all students with a particular focus on those with identified disabilities or difficulties and to meet their individual needs, working under the direction of the subject tutor in an inclusive environment, and facilitating learning for all students.

Working arrangements:
35 hours per week | Term-Time (195 days per year to include 5 Professional Development Days) | Permanent
Daily starting and finishing times will be as agreed with the Inclusion Manager to meet the requirements of the College. Hours of work would normally be within the range 08.30 am to 4.30 pm Monday to Thursday and 08.30 am to 4.00 pm on Friday with ½ hour lunch break each day. Agreed times may however be subject to variation from time to time for example to accommodate key dates in the academic year calendar, and/or during major College events, including for example for Open Events and Interview Evenings.

As soon as possible (subject to successful pre-employment checks including a DBS Enhanced check or a check against the DBS Update Service if registered)
Salary:
Point 3 to 10 on the NJC Sixth Form Colleges’ Support Staff Pay Spine, i.e. £20,025 pa to £23,367 pa FTE (actual salary for 35 hours term-time would be £16,271 pa to £18,987 pa)
