Money raised for hospitals

STUDENTS who cycled more than 600 miles have raised £1,400 to buy presents for patients at Manchester Hospital and Alder Hey.

Public Services students cycled – in college – the distance of Land’s End to John O’Groats and donated the funds they raised to the RAF, which is supporting the two hospitals.

It took the team about seven hours to complete the challenge, which was set up in the Wicked Café at Priestley.

The money will pay for presents which will be collected from Priestley and delivered to the hospitals in December by RAF helicopter.
