Eve Groarke is now working as a Speech and Language Therapist for people with learning disabilities after completing a Masters in Speech and Language Therapy at the University of Sheffield.

At Priestley she studied A-Levels in English language (A), French (A) and Sociology (A), AS-Level Spanish (C) and the Extended Project (A*).

Eve, who was a pupil at Great Sankey High School, hopes to become more specialised in her field and possibly complete some research in future.

“I went to a talk at Priestley held by one of my English tutors about linguistics which inspired me to study it at university and eventually led me into my career,” said Eve.

“All of my tutors gave me so much advice when I was applying to university and were really supportive. Being the president of the College Council also gave me really valuable leadership skills.

“There are so many fantastic opportunities at Priestley to allow you to develop and to prepare you for your future. The staff genuinely care and are really supportive, treating students like adults and with respect. I still remember the kindness and support of my tutors.”
