Subjects at Priestley :Politics, History, English and Maths
Destination :Oxford University to study Law
Greg Horne has gone on to study Law at Oxford University, but only after some late drama on A-Level results day.
He questioned his B grade in English Literature and it was upgraded to an A – securing him the university place he’d been after.
“I was a little bit surprised by the original mark, but when you have been waiting eight weeks for the results every possibility goes through your mind,” he said.
Greg set his heart on studying Law at university after witnessing the Hillsborough inquests in Warrington from the public gallery.
The former Lymm High School pupil had wanted to see the legal process in action and after attending the inquests at Bridgewater Place he knew the profession was for him.
At Priestley he took The Graduate, which is designed to encourage the most able students to apply for places at Russell Group universities, and during the course visited Oxford.
