Please bring your Student ID to collect results
When and where can I get my results?
A Level, AS Level, Level 3 Vocational – Thursday 13th August
Results for all students who are receiving an overall grade will be available online on the Student Portal Platform from 8.30am.
Please, first fill in the Student Consent form (Marketing) which can be found at the following link: https://forms.microsoft.com/e/bJyzcLdCYG.
After submitting the form, you will be directed to the link for accessing your results on the Student Portal Platform. Grades can be accessed via the ‘My Details’ tab, then click the ‘Enrolments’ tab. All your grades will be presented against each course in the ‘Grade’ column.
- Year 2 students (i.e. students completing courses and leaving college): If not viewing on Portal (see above), you will be able to collect your results in person between 8am to 10am on Thursday 13th August from the Sports Hall. Staff will be available upstairs in the LRC to provide support and guidance regarding next steps, UCAS choices and clearing options.
- Year 1 students (i.e. students completing AS levels or an equivalent one-year vocation/technical course and returning for Year 2): If not viewing on Portal (see above), you can collect your results in person between 10.30am to 12.30pm on Thursday 13th August. There will be staff available in the LRC to provide initial support and guidance if needed, but students who are returning who still need to confirm courses, will be contacted directly after 20th August by our Progress Tutor team.
Student Consent Form (Access to Scripts)
On Results Day, we will kindly ask you to fill in a short online form where you can give your consent to Priestley College to access your exam scripts. This is very important as it will support teaching but also help identify students who could be put forward for a Review of Marking. A QR code will be provided to students who attend in person. If you have problems accessing the QR code, please ask a member of staff for help. A link to the same consent form will also be sent to students’ college email addresses for those who want to access their results online.
GCSE & Level 2 – Thursday 20th August
- GCSE / Foundation (Level 2): Results will be available online on the Student Portal system from 8.30am on 20th August as detailed above but you will need to click ‘All Years’ at the bottom of the page. You will be able to collect your results between 8.30am and 10am from the Priestley Building Reception Area. There will be staff available in the LRC to provide initial support and guidance if needed, but students who are returning who still need to confirm courses, will be contacted directly after 20th August by our Progress Tutor team.
- If you are returning to Priestley in September, you may also require an appointment on Thursday 27th August to discuss your programme following the release of your results.
Accessing the Student Portal from outside the college
Please refer to the guidelines provided on our website https://www.priestley.ac.uk/remote-access-guide/ for remote access to your Student Portal.
I can’t come into college to collect my results slip – what can I do?
Can someone else collect my results slip for me?
- Yes, you can nominate a parent, guardian or friend to collect your results slip on your behalf. You will need to email exams@priestley.ac.uk from your college email address with your full name, date of birth, student ID number and the name of the person who you have nominated to collect your results slip.
- They will need to bring a valid form of photo ID (we do not accept ID stored on phones) for themselves.
- We will not hand out results slips if we do not have an email from you with the name of the person you have nominated. We cannot accept authorisation via text or phone call.
Can I still collect my results slip after Results Day?
- Results slips will still be available for four weeks after both Results Days (13th & 20th August) from the MIS/Exams Office (opposite the Crescent Reception). Please bring your student ID card or follow the process above if you will be nominating someone to collect your results slip.
Can I get a copy of my results slip emailed to me?
- In the first instance, you should try and access your results online(see guidance above) or arrange for someone else to pick up your results slip for you.
- If you do need a digital copy of your results slip, you will need to email exams@priestley.ac.uk from your college email address with your full name, date of birth and student ID number. We can then respond to this address with your results slip.
- Due to the busy nature of Results Day, we unfortunately cannot guarantee the response times to emails and requests for digital copies of results. We will always aim for this to be sent through by the end of the day, but please allow an additional working day for a response.
Can I still nominate someone or request a digital copy on the day of Results Day?
- Yes, it is still possible. Ideally, if you know in advance that you will be unable to come in to collect your results in person, we recommend that you contact exams@priestley.ac.uk at the earliest opportunity with your request (either for a digital copy or to nominate someone).
- If you are nominating someone on the day of, please be aware that we may not see your email before they arrive. This may cause delays for your nominated person whilst we check and verify your email before releasing your results slip.
I have questions about my next steps – what so I need to know?
What if I don’t get an offer from my first choice of University?
- We would always recommend that students come in and speak to a member of the Careers/Pastoral Team face to face or if you are not able to do so, ring the University to ask them to reconsider although we cannot guarantee that they will change their decision.
- If you find yourself in this situation, take some time to look again at the offer(s) you are holding to assess your options. We would also advise you to make an appointment with Ian Edge (Careers Adviser) in the LRC for advice.
I have queries about ‘clearing’ and how this works?
- Do not feel that you must make instant decisions, take some time to get advice before you commit to anything you may be offered through clearing.
- There is some helpful information provided by UCAS on the Clearing section of their website. Please use the link provided to find out more information – UCAS Clearing
I have changed my mind and now want to apply to university. Is this still possible?
- Yes, applying during the clearing period is certainly possible and there are often places on good courses at good Universities still available.
- To start looking for vacancies use the UCAS search facility – UCAS Clearing Launch. Be prepared to talk to University representatives about why you now want to continue your studies and why you are interested in their course.
- In addition to any verbal offer a University may make you, you will also need to complete a UCAS form. If you started an application earlier in the year, make sure you have the right passwords to access it.
Who should I contact with my query?
Ian Edge (Careers Adviser) – For queries relating to prospective university offers, clearing or UCAS applications, Ian Edge will be in the LRC on Results Day and the following week for advice.
Progress Tutors – If you have been waiting on the outcome of your results before you confirm your course choices, you should email your Progress Tutor in the first instance.
Subject Teachers – For queries relating to grade boundaries, reviews of marking or any other subject related questions, please contact your subject tutor in the first instance.
IT Department – For queries relating to issues with accessing Portal or viewing your results, please contact the IT department on itservices@priestley.ac.uk
Exams Department – For queries for the Exams department, please email exams@priestley.ac.uk stating your full name, DOB, student ID number and your query.
PLEASE NOTE: All teaching staff will return to college on Thursday 20th August. Due to the busy nature of this time for both teachers and business support staff, replies may take a little bit longer.
Exam certificate collection
Certificates for exams taken in the 25/26 academic year, will be available later this year. We will share details of the collection day and any further information on the Priestley College website, and we will also send an email reminder to the personal email address we have on record for you.
If you still have any uncollected certificates from previous years, please make sure that you collect these as well. Exam certificates should only be retained by the college for a limited period. Replacement certificate costs will be covered by the student and will only be available by directly contacting the exam boards. Not all exam boards will issue a replacement certificate, some only provide a certified statement of results.
