College Council & Ambassadors

College Council

College Council President Danniella Glenn, Vice-President Madgey Thompson, and returning members Jamie Martin, Ellis Lloyd-Jones and Amelie Cullen, would like to introduce new members: Michael Anderson, Abbie Lucock, Kayleigh-Ann Mutch, Pedro Santos, Emily Thornett, and Katherine Warburton.

The College Council priorities for the next year are outlined below:

  • Continue to develop Priestley Pride, an enrichment group for members of the LGBTQ+ community and allies. Expand the community and raise awareness in order to maintain Priestley College’s inclusive environment.
  • Find more ways to help students adapt to learning during the pandemic.
  • Develop the enrichment offering following student feedback about the kinds of enrichment activities they would be interested in seeing implemented. These will be developed while considering the restrictions imposed because of the pandemic.
  • We look forward to working with Caroline Atkinson to ensure there are strong resources available to ensure mental health and wellbeing is maintained and accessible for all students.
College Ambassadors

Our College Ambassadors play a vital role in Priestley life, in particular making prospective new students and their parents feel comfortable at open events and welcome days. When it is possible they also visit their former schools to demonstrate the pathway from Year 11 to college. We value their contribution and the time they put into the role.
