A YOUNG entrepreneur is hoping his dream of creating a gymwear brand will work out and lead to a successful business.
Angus Cheyne, a student at Priestley College, has launched his Power Through clothing range in Warrington and hopes the brand will grow over the coming months.
“I wanted to give myself a go at something I could be really proud of,” said the 17-year-old.
Angus started exercising at Anytime Fitness in Stockton Heath nearly two years ago.
During a workout he was thinking of ways to combine his love for the gym with a business venture using funds raised via other small business exploits.
“I’d left some money to one side and decided I wanted to use it to start a new journey,” said the former Bridgewater High School pupil.
“I just decided to go for it.”
His first job was to research how to get the clothes manufactured at the most affordable prices and discovered China offered the best deal.

It took over 20 messages to get just one reply, but his persistence paid off. Six months later his first merchandise arrived and, in the meantime, his brand was trademarked.
Among other items he now has in storage are 30 t-shirts, 150 hoodies, leggings and sports bras.
“It was so amazing to see it all arrive that I was wearing it around the house for a few days,” said Angus.
Gym tops are £32, t-shirts £24 and hoodies sell at £40 and are available by emailing angus.cheyne@yahoo.com
Sport Tutor Dan Jordan said: “Angus is an impressive student with real entrepreneurial spirit so we are doing what we can to support him and his venture.”
