We would like to thank The Mayor of Warrington, Steve Wright, for visiting Priestley College on 28th May to speak with our students about democracy.

We would like to thank him too for allowing students to ask questions about the Warrington Council, its priorities and what his personal ambitions are while mayor.

We felt it was a fitting time to welcome The Mayor of Warrington to Priestley College with the upcoming local council elections and the general election that will take place shortly with many of the students voting for the first time. 

Also with the elections for the Presidency of Priestley’s College Council happening in the coming month it again felt a well suited time to invite the mayor to our College.
