Sport Priestley has enjoyed incredible success over the past few years.
In 2020 the Rugby Football League awarded us the UK’s first ever Dual Rugby League Development Academy accreditation in recognition of us providing a highly-successful platform for both boys and girls to play rugby at Priestley.
In 2019 our footballers were county champions and national finalists while in 2018 our basketball, volleyball, ladies’ football, swimming and rugby teams were all regional champions. Our swimmers have even competed in the London Olympic pool.
We aim to offer something for everyone in Sport Priestley whether you want to train like a professional with one of our academies or simply stay active by joining an enrichment. However you become part of the team, we are certain it will both enhance your time at college and your future prospects.

TASS accreditation
Priestley College leads the way in supporting talented athletes in England after we received a new accreditation.
The honour was awarded by the Talented Athlete Scholarship Scheme (TASS) recognising the way Priestley supports students in achieving both their sporting and academic goals.
Among the 16 who have already selected for the programme are GB rowers, jujitsu athletes, swimmers, kickboxers, as well as regional Thai boxers and rugby players.
By highlighting their sporting commitments and successes, tutors will be able to offer extra support such as virtual catchup sessions to review work when a student is competing away from home.
To apply for Priestley’s TASS programme please complete the expression of interest form and email to k.butler@priestley.ac.uk > TASS Initial Expression of Interest
