Elite Sports+ Programme

Sport Priestley leads the way in supporting talented athletes in England.  We are accredited by the Talented Athlete Scholarship Scheme (TASS) and students can opt into our Elite Sports+ Programme. Priestley’s Elite Sports+ programme is designed for athletes competing at the highest levels to ensure they can excel in both their chosen sport and their academic studies.

Sport Priestley opportunities

Represent Priestley

You can compete regularly in football, futsal, netball, basketball and rugby. Through Priestley you can enter regional competitions in a wider range of sports as well as represent the North West at the AoC Sport National Championships.

Developing skills

Priestley ­offers a range of sports leader qualifications and opportunities for you to work in the community, developing your leadership skills.We also support you in gaining refereeing experience, coaching badges and First Aid certificates.

Trips and visits

Opportunities have previously included a US football tour, La Santa in Lanzarote, outdoor adventure in the Lake District and with Manor Adventure in Lockerbie where students experience activities such as kayaking, climbing and archery.
