Opportunies for all

The art and design department gives students opportunities to feature their work in exhibitions, attend trips and the chance to take part in subject-based national competitions. We have long standing links with industry professionals through live project briefs and guest speakers from industry and higher education.

Creative Pathways

Explore your artistic potential through a range of exciting pathways, including vocational and A-Level courses. Many students study two A-Levels or combine vocational and A-Level options. Develop your own specialist skills, build your portfolio, and prepare for a successful career in the arts.

Facilities

We have 16 specialist rooms across Art & Design. These include fully resourced PC rooms with industry-standard software for digital art, art studios, textiles rooms and a photography studio. Our 3D Product Design and architecture rooms have 3D printing and laser cutting facilities.
