Priestley College is aware of the financial difficulties families are currently facing. We will keep this page updated with any support that is available.
Bursary support is available at Priestley College for those who need it. A student is eligible for a core/mainstream bursary or free meal when the household income is below the threshold of £25,000 and for free school meal purposes an eligible benefit.
Cost of living support
In response to the cost of living crisis, the Government has launched Help for Households website to draw together support packages that help ease the cost of living impact.
Priestley Education and Training Trust
The Priestley Education and Training Trust has made a difference to the lives of dozens of young people and continues to do so. In some cases the charity is able to support current students.
Free direct bus services
Priestley is offering free direct bus services to college from areas not served by travel companies. There is also support for others who use public transport.
Further bursary support
Priestley is offering a stationery pack to those students who receive bursary support. The pack will include stationery that will be useful during revision and exam periods plus supporting preparation for coursework and in lessons also. Those students who are eligible for the bursary will be contacted about the packs throughout the academic year.
