A huge congratulations to our former student and newly elected Mayor of Warrington, Councillor Sagheer Zaman.

An alumnus of Priestley who attended the college and studied politics. Councillor Zaman has been elected Mayor following more than 25 years of dedicated voluntary and community service across Warrington. He said “It is a great honour to serve Warrington as Mayor. I am proud of our rich diversity and strong sense of community, and I will work throughout my Mayoral year to represent every resident with fairness, respect and pride.”

Everyone here at Priestley is incredibly proud of Councillor Zaman and all he has achieved since leaving the college. We wish him every success during his year as Mayor of Warrington and look forward to seeing all that he accomplishes.
