Those students who have completed their studies with us and are applying for apprenticeship and Employment will continue to receive support from the Careers Team in a number of ways.
- From the Easter Break until the October Half Term the team will email each week, any student who has not made a university application, a bulletin of the latest apprenticeship / employment vacancies we are notified of. Any student who has made a university application, but wants to receive the bulletin just needs to let the team know via email at i.edge@priestley.ac.uk
- If once you leave college you are experiencing problems finding an apprenticeship / employment, you can contact the Careers Team on 01925 633591 to talk to one of our Careers Advisers about your situation.
If necessary we can book you in for a one to one interview to help you with your job search. Please note that there will be limited Careers Adviser time available during the summer break.
- If you find that you need a referral to a specific training provider, some form of alternative provision or a reengagement programme run by the Local Authority, our Careers Advisers will be able to do this for you.
- The Careers Team trys to contact all students who leave college each summer, during the autumn term in order to check on their progress into an apprenticeship or employment, and provide any additional support they might need.
- Once we reach the October Half Term the Careers Team will pass on to the Local Authority the details of any student who may need ongoing support in their search for an apprenticeship or employment.
