Every year there are a significant number of students who decide to make a university application in the year or two after they complete their qualifications at Priestley.
Former students making a UCAS application will need a reference from the college. Because of the number of applicants each year we have a separate ‘Tutor Group’ on UCAS that former students will need to join. In order to find the required ‘Buzzword’ to link your UCAS account, former students need to email i.edge@priestley.ac.uk
Former Students making a university application in the years after they leave Priestley will continue to receive support from the Careers Team in a number of ways including.
- Registering with UCAS and filling in the form
- Advice on course and university choice
- Help with their Personal Statement
- Providing the required academic reference
- Advice regarding Student Finance
Because of the pressures of time and the demands of our current students, we ask any former students who want individual advice and guidance regarding their UCAS application to contact the Careers Team before November 30th.
If you are clear about the decisions you have to make and confident about filling in your UCAS form, so simply require a reference to support your UCAS application. Please contact the Careers Team before the college closes for the Christmas Break.
We will try and support any requests that come into college in January, but can not guarantee that your application will get to UCAS before the January Equal consideration date.
Please do not contact your former personal tutor directly, as all reference requests are dealt with by the Careers Team and doing so may delay your application reaching UCAS.
