Priestley is a centre for the Duke of Edinburgh Award meaning activities and residentials can be organised around exams ensuring everyone has time to fit in their studies.
Paul Clark, who runs our Duke of Edinburgh Award activities, said: “All young people should be given every support necessary in order for them to achieve.”
You can do Bronze, Silver or Gold Awards. You can go straight onto Silver or Gold without any prior experience! Think about the timescales though as DofE requires a huge commitment so make sure you can complete the award for which you are applying. Gold takes 18 months, Silver 12 months and Bronze six months.
There is a cost which covers the cost of practice and qualifying expeditions and your log book. Please see Paul Clark if you have any DofE financial concerns.
