
What do you consider the role of a Progress Tutor to be?
To support students with their academic needs and pastoral needs during their time at college. Sometimes the progress tutor is their first port of call when support is required.
What do you love about your job?
I enjoy seeing students progress through college. My main role is teaching psychology. Being a progress tutor enables me to support students with any pastoral issues.
How do you think the progress tutors make a difference to the students at Priestley?
Students appreciate having a member of staff they can turn to provide support during their time at college.
Why did you want to get into education?
I love teaching psychology and seeing students make progress during their time here. As a progress tutor it is great seeing students settle into college, make new friends and enjoy their chosen course. I always wanted to support students in their academic journeys and to give them the confidence they need for the next steps.
