Alan Farquharson
Is a retired solicitor, also formerly the company secretary for the De Vere Group. He was a director at a number of companies, including Longford Industrial (FTSE 100 company). Serves on the Strategic Planning and Governance Committee
Andrew Cannell
Former Chief Executive and Finance Director in the NHS. Andrew became a Governor in July 2011 and is the Chair of the Finance, HR and Operations Committee.
James Gresty
James Gresty became Principal at Priestley College in September 2020.
Philip Dyke
Philip Dyke was a partner at Baker Tilly (Accountancy and audit) until his retirement in 2007, at which time he joined the Governing Body. Philip serves on the Finance, HR and Operations Committee and the Strategic Planning and Governance Committee.
Amy Heald
Amy Heald was elected to be a Staff member on the Governing Body in 2022.

Mark Edgington was elected to be a Staff member on the Governing Body in 2020.
Sheila Yates
Sheila is Chair of the Governing Body. Although now retired, she has previously worked as a partner headteacher and a consultant headteacher.
Simon Jenkins
Simon is Head of Student Recruitment & Admissions at Edge Hill University. He joined the Governing Body as a co-opted Governor in 2022 and serves on the Quality and Standards Committee
Peter Kahn
Peter is a co-opted governor who serves on the Quality and Standards Committee. He lectures in education at the University of Liverpool, where he directs the Centre for Higher Education Studies.
John Monaghan
Chair of Strategic Planning and Governance Committee, also a Vice Chair of the Governing Body. John has held senior HR and customer service positions at United Utilities and subsequently worked for the Prince’s Trust.
David Mowat
David Mowat joined the Governing Body in October 2015 and serves on the Strategic Planning and Governance Committee.
Louisa Reeves
Louisa joined as a Parent Governor in 2021. Her daughter attended Priestley and her son is currently a student. She has over 30 years' experience supporting young people with SEND in education.
Ian Rigby
Ian is a co-opted governor who serves on the Finance, HR and Operations Committee. Fellow member of Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, worked at senior management level in FE for 17 years before retiring in 2014, MSc in Educational Leadership.
Beverley Scott-Herron
Beverley Scott-Herron is Headteacher at Sir Thomas Boteler CE High School. Bev joined the Governing Body in December 2014.
Carolyn Williams
Carolyn is a Co-opted Governor and serves on the Quality and Standards Committee. Carolyn has worked in education for 20 years and is currently Director of Student Recruitment Marketing and Admissions at Liverpool John Moores University. She is also Chair of Governors at Penketh South Community Primary School and a member of TCAT Quality and Standards Committee.
