A LAW student has taken her next step towards helping local people achieve justice in the legal profession.
Evie Saitch, who studies Business, Criminology and Law at Priestley College, has secured a six-year degree apprenticeship with Chris Rudd Solicitors in Warrington.
The 17-year-old said: “I chose to go into Law because it’s about helping people in your community.
“I know that legal struggles can be quite a strain on people, but by supporting them every step of the way I can help ease that and also help them to get justice.”
Despite competition being fierce for the role, a second Priestley student, Tiffany Humphries, has also secured a degree apprenticeship with Chris Rudd.
For Evie, former Bridgewater High School pupil, it is a dream come true and the reason she chose to study law at Priestley.
She said that college had provided her with many opportunities that helped her stand out from her peers.
“I wanted to go into an apprenticeship because I liked the idea of earning while you learn,” she said.
The students heard about the apprentice role through their Law tutor who posted it on google classroom.
They send in their CVs and were soon invited for an interview.
For Evie it is the continuation of a family tradition as many have progressed down the apprenticeship route, but she doesn’t want to stop there.
“Once I am qualified I would like to work my way up further in a law firm,” she said.
