Priestley College men’s footballers were crowned regional seven-a-side champions yesterday.
They finished the event unbeaten with wins over St John Rigby, Blackburn and Hopwood colleges.
Priestley’s women also impressed in the competition and did not lose a match either. However, they were eliminated in the group stage by points per game ration… by 0.25 points.
The men’s team were fantastic from start to finish and showed great resilience throughout the tournament.
A last-minute goal secured their victory and the cup, a result that also means Priestley will represent the North West in the national finals in Nottingham next year.
