Sport Priestley has enjoyed a stellar year and celebrated all those individual and team successes at its annual awards.
The event – sponsored and hosted by Warrington Town FC – was a celebration of sporting and academic achievements.
Sport Performer of the Year – as voted for by her fellow students – was footballer Darcy Lancaster who is currently studying BTEC Sport and Exercise Science while making major strides both on the field and court.
This year, she made her senior debut for Blackburn Rovers Women – a huge milestone that showcases her commitment, skill, and passion for the game.
Her success continued on the international stage, earning her first international cap for Wales U19s.
But Darcy’s talent doesn’t stop at football – she’s also a standout netballer and has been one of Priestley’s key players this season, consistently leading by example with her energy and versatility.
Huge congratulations to the other nominees who also excelled in the past year. Darcy Ruddick who was chosen for the GB Youth Squad in weightlifting and Jessica Ryan who, among her many achievements in Karate, became the youngest ever bronze medalist at the WUKF British Championships.
The Sports Awards celebrate team success and numerous academic achievements as well as recognising all those in the cohort who performed for county and country in a wide range of sports.
