Guest speakers from Halton Hospital gave Health students a talk about their role as scrub (Theatre) Nurses within the Orthopedic Surgery Team (Karen Smith and Emma Blackoll).
They discussed their role within theatre and the importance of a team-based approach during surgery.
Students were shown pieces of equipment used by surgeons/ anaesthetists and discussed pathways into the profession.
