General
- Priestley College aims to offer safe and dependable options for students to access their education. Students need to register and sign the Code of Conduct Agreement to secure a Priestley bus pass.
- While we strive to ensure the smooth operation of transport services, factors beyond our control (like severe weather and road closures) may disrupt services on short notice, and the College cannot be held responsible for this.
- Bus timetables are a guide, and the College cannot be responsible for the unpredictable/unexpected flow of traffic from one day to the next.
- Students are fully responsible for their bus pass at all times and must display it when using the college transport.
- When students board college transport services, they must present a valid bus pass and their student ID Card to the driver.
- Transport details are accurate at the time of printing, but costs, routes, and pick-up points may change at any time for operational and efficiency reasons.
- The College has the right to implement any measures it considers necessary to ensure the safety and comfort of other students and staff, which may include temporarily or permanently banning a student from using college transport after an incident of misconduct.
- The College and the bus operators are not liable for any loss or inconvenience to students who do not follow the transport terms and conditions.
- All College transport is considered an extension of the College, and behaviour will be monitored, with disciplinary action taken if needed. If a student violates these rules, they may be removed from the bus and denied further travel.
College Bus Services
- If a student misses their bus, they are responsible for finding alternative transport to and from College. Students should be at their assigned bus stop before the scheduled departure.
- The College is not responsible if a student misses their bus to or from College.
Conduct of Passengers
- Priestley College has a Behaviour Code of Conduct for students using college transport that must be followed. The College has the right to deny transport if we believe a student is violating this code of conduct.
Luggage
- All luggage should be placed on the student’s knee, in the luggage rack, under the seat, or discussed with the driver for placement in the bus’s luggage hold. Luggage cannot be placed on an empty seat. Students are responsible for their luggage at all times and for any items they bring.
Lost Property
- If you find lost items on a bus, you should hand them to the driver, who will return them to the depot. The College can contact the depot for any student to assist in locating items left on a College bus. Students will then need to visit the bus company to recover any lost property.
Complaints
- The College appreciates suggestions and complaints as they help us enhance our services. We will address complaints thoughtfully and aim to respond as quickly as possible, typically within 10 working days of receiving them.
Data Protection
- The College will only collect and process personal data according to the principles outlined in the Data Protection Act 1998.
All transportation information is accurate for September 2025 at the time of production; however, costs, routes, and pick-up locations may be updated at any point for operational and efficiency reasons.
